Vijay is all happy for Thupakki

Actor Vijay's 'Velayudham' directed by Jayam Raja and featuring Genelia and Hansika Motwani has hit a 50 (day run) and the collections are said to be astounding. Celebrations are expected to commence soon as Velayudham is one of the most successful films in Vijay's career.


Vijay's next release will be Nanban. It is expected that the film will be released for Pongal. The hype and hoopla surrounding this film is massive.


After back to back hits with Kaavalan and Velayudham, Vijay is on a high. Also, he has Thuppaki with AR Murugadoss and Yohan Adhyayam Ondru with Gautham Menon lined up in future.

Nanban Audio Release Confirmed on December 23

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s much expected Nanban audio launch has been officially confirmed. Nanban audio will be released on December 23 at Hindustan Arts College in Coimbatore during during Harris Jayaraj’s concert On The Edge.

Harris Jayaraj has tweeted – “Here I am… The audio of Nanban will be launched during my concert On The Edge on 23rd December at Hindustan college Coimbatore. Couple of songs from the film will also be performed in the show.”

Nanban movie has 6 songs in it and the music for the film has been scored by Harris Jayaraj. Nanban features Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj and Ileana D’Cruz. Nanban is remake of Bollywood Blockbuster film 3 Idiots which was directed by Rajkumar Hirani.

Vijay's 'Thupaki' goes on floors

The Murugadoss and Ilayathalapathy film titled Thupaki is all set to roll shortly.

The producer of the film Kalaipuli S Thanu has confirmed the same. He also revealed that they have registered the title of the film since it has much importance. The film's unit is all set and ready to roll from Chennai in the coming week. The team is touted to travel to Mumbai post its stint in Chennai.

'Thupaki' sees Vijay in the lead role with Kajal Aggarwal playing his heroine. This film sees Vijay donning the cop's uniform and is touted to follow the action thriller genre. With AR Murugadoss in the captain's chair we can sure expect class.

Santosh Sivan is the cameraman for this film. This will be the ace cinematographer-director's first film with Vijay. With high-profile names involved in the cast and crew, expectations are mounting on this project. Music for 'Thupaki' will be taken care of by Harris Jayaraj.

'Nanban' audio from December 14!

Vijay starrer 'Nanban's audio will release on December 14, precisely a month before the film's release, which is scheduled for Pongal 2012. It is also said that the audio will release big, in a grand scale at Nehru Stadium in Chennai due to the demand from Vijay fans.

'Nanban' has music scored by Harris Jayaraj and the film is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster '3 Idiots'. It is also buzzed that Aamir Khan and director Raju Hirani of '3 Idiots' will be present at the launch!

The film has Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Ileana, Sathyaraj in lead roles with Sathyan and Anuya in pivotal roles and SJ Suryah in a cameo. The film also marks Shankar's first ever remake.

'Nanban's teaser that released recently has set a rage with fans going gaga over their matinee idols.

Vijay's Thuppaki title to be changed

Vijay's fourth coming project is tentatively titled as Thuppaki in Tamil and Telugu. AR Murugadoss who thought that the action entertainer would go well with this catchy title seems to face some problems from Tollywood industry.

Jinka Harish Babu the director from Tollywood who already registered the same title earlier before Vijay and AR Murugadoss project has started is claiming it to be his title. When the assitants of AR Murugadoss aprroached the Telugu director, he said that his project is 40% over so he won't be able to give the title Thuppaki.

So confusions are going withing AR Murugadoss team, either there will be a title change done by AR Murugadoss for its Telugu version or else there will be a need to pay high amount to get the same title from Jinka Harish babu says sources.

இயக்குனர் ஏ.ஆர். முருகதாஸ் இயக்கத்தில் விஜய் நடிக்கவிருக்கும் படம் “துப்பாக்கி” . விஜய்க்கு ஜோடியாக காஜல்அகர்வால் நடிக்கிறார். முதல்கட்ட படப்பிடிப்பு வருகிற டிசம்பர் மாதம் தொடங்கி ஜனவரி மாதம் வரை நடைபெருகிறது. படத்தில் விஜய் ஒரு “குற்றவியல் போலீஸ் அதிகாரியாக”

சந்தோஷ் சிவன் கேமரா பொறுப்பை ஏற்க, ஹாரிஸ்ஜெயராஜ் இசையமைத்து, ஜெயமோகன் வசனங்களை எழுதிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார். படக்குழு முதல்கட்ட படப்பிடிப்புக்காக திருச்செந்தூர் மற்றும் தூத்துக்குடி பக்கம் தலை காட்டுவார்கள் எனத் தெரிகிறது. முருகதாஸும் விஜய்யும் முதல் முறையாக இணைவதால் ரசிகர்களிடம் அதிக எதிர்பார்ப்பு இருக்கிறது.
